Ways these Denver Broncos together with their malleable QB can halt the Chiefs' reign.

It's week six of the NFL season , following recent discussion about the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles being possible championship contenders, each surrendered their unbeaten records.

Striking during those contests was the amount of penalties each conceded. Philadelphia did so in key moments meaning they kind of beat themselves having led 17-3 entering the fourth period against Denver, set to play in London this weekend.

However it proved good to see that Denver's QB the rookie managed to overcome the shortfall before lead three successful possessions on three possessions in the fourth quarter, to win the game 21-17.

Denver have the defensive player of the year in cornerback Pat Surtain II. They are first in goal-line defense, while the Eagles are number one in red zone offence, yet Denver prevailed in that battle.

They executed the Eagles' number regarding simulated pressure. They did not always rushing extra pass rushers instead they might plug two LBs in the interior then withdrawing them and dispatch a slot defender from the outside.

Early on of the season, we said during a show that Denver might emerge as the current year's surprise contenders. They ended the previous year well then excelled in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's underdog story?

New tight end their tight end has stepped up big while recent RB their rusher is a player the team trusts. He's currently 5th league-wide in ground gains (over 400) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).

It's impressive that the coach the Broncos' leader has "RUSH!" prominently of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates how the Broncos represent a squad aiming to run first, because you can do a lot off the back of that. It slows opposing rushes and keeps you in favourable situations.

This has helped quarterback Bo Nix, who came into the league as the 12th overall draft pick last year, passing for 29 TDs – just behind Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 in 2020).

Other elite QBs have the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they don't move the mobility as Nix. He has exceptional passing ability, which is different, and he is so athletic.

His assets include his movement, being able to throw while moving, and finding different arm angles to make throws when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to throw that layered pass over the middle and past defenders.

For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays great poise in the pocket and is not bothered by extra rushers. He aims to avoid a sack whenever possible and can throw under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and is very decisive.

If you consistently run the ball it eats up time and forces the defence to stay on the field for longer, and when you have an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the field vertically and horizontally. It can be draining.

The quarterback has pushed back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and it seems the coach likes that attitude, that he's a fierce rival. I think it's exciting for the coach to have a rookie QB who's similar to play-dough. The coach can truly develop him how he desires to build it. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

Payton has won a Super Bowl and now passed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173 - tied 14th overall). He has witnessed everything. In my opinion the achievements Denver are having offensively is mostly down to his leadership, his play-calling, his game sense – and the pairing with Nix aids shape him what he is.

There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to help you through difficult moments and boost self-belief.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they strong enough to go against a top squad at its best? Since that was not championship-level play by the Eagles last Sunday.

Currently, it's unlikely Denver are elite. They're performing better than most, that's a solid position to be in the AFC West. The key to do to continue this path.

They excel at leaning into their strength, which is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

New York have allowed 140 yards on the ground each contest (among the worst), five ground scores this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the sole squad yet to win a game.

Ever since the league began tracking turnovers decades ago, the Jets are also the first team to be without a single takeaway through five games, which is kind of shocking when you think that their new coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes stated Kansas City are off to a poor start after Monday's defeat to Jacksonville.

Following the upcoming matchup, the Broncos face a smooth-ish schedule up to their bye (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, the Cowboys, the Texans and Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

Looking at the AFC West, Kansas City are 2-3 while Denver are even with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could make a run for the top of the West.

This hinges on what version of the Chiefs they meet since the Broncos {beat|def
