New information has come to light regarding the tragic demises of renowned film director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were located at their Brentwood, Los Angeles residence on Sunday.

The Initial Report

According to a report citing a family associate, a massage therapist scheduled for an session initially became concerned after being unable to gain access the home. This individual then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides nearby.

After gaining access to the house, Romy found her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Another individual who had accompanied her contacted 911. Subsequently, emergency responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of murder in the first degree, as well as the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is now detained and denied bail.

Nick Reiner was apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, roughly 15 miles from the family home. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, said his client had not been medically cleared and would not appear until Wednesday or later.
