I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
